Black & Milk represents an architectural manifesto of compactness, realised within a shipping container at the "7th Warehouse" in central Kharkiv. Working with just 18 square metres, the design focuses on absolute precision, adaptability, and the creation of a strong visual identity within a minimal budget and limited footprint.

As the client’s previous coffee shop also operated within a container, the strategic goal was to create an interior scalable for future venues. The extremely compact layout demanded solutions that combine utilitarian functionality with visual clarity and the modularity required for potential network expansion.

Despite the micro-scale, the layout offers a variety of scenarios: window seating, face-to-face, or group arrangements. The compositional centre is a large table with integrated openings for greenery. The service zone is crafted from metal, complemented by a built-in cylindrical display, while a mirror strip on the wall acts as an optical instrument, visually expanding the interior boundaries.

The textural palette is built on contrast: primary elements—stainless steel and corrugated sheet—form the work zone, while light hues and rounded furniture soften the atmosphere. The project deliberately eschews branding to preserve spatial purity: recognition is formed through tactile surfaces and clean lines.
