This is a process fragment from the material research for Plastic-19. After Covid, we tested whether disposable face masks could become a new plastic sample instead of staying only as waste material.
The masks were placed inside a small blue lid and heated with a construction heat gun. They melted very easily, shrinking and merging into one uneven mass, which became one of the first steps in understanding how this material could behave.

Маски поклали в маленьку синю кришку і нагрівали будівельним феном. Вони дуже легко плавилися, стискалися і з’єднувалися в одну нерівну масу, яка стала одним із перших кроків у розумінні поведінки цього матеріалу.
