A Prusa printer is working on a small white landscape model made from an iPhone 3D scan. The scan belonged to a site study in Scotland, where I needed to understand the terrain not only as a flat image, but as a physical surface.
The printer slowly builds the uneven relief on the black print bed. This kind of model helps read slopes, edges, small changes in height, and other nuances of the territory that can disappear in photos or drawings.
